Carry the Joy is more than an event—it is our annual night of restoring what emotional, psychological, and verbal abuse try to take away. While domestic violence agencies focus on immediate safety and basic needs, Hagar’s Heart steps in to walk alongside our partner agencies to help meet the needs survivors often carry in silence: belonging, confidence, dignity, and hope.
These are deep wounds—the unseen ones—lasting long after separation and help begin.
Every year, thousands of survivors across North Texas experience the Hagar’s Heart I See You boxes, as well as annual programs that help rebuild self-worth and family connection. The generosity of our community makes that healing possible.
Inspired by themes of hope and new beginnings, this evening celebrates survivors who are reclaiming their stories and the supporters who walk beside them. In 2025, YOU helped raise more than $73,000, directly fueling our programs, as well as begin new programs and hire our Director of Community Impact. In 2026, our goal is to reach the most domestic violence survivors in a year yet – 3,600!

There are several ways you can contribute to this meaningful cause
Gather your friends, family, or colleagues and reserve a table for the event. Your presence makes a significant impact on the lives of survivors.
We are seeking tax-deductible donations of items or services to include in our auction. From purses and coolers to your company’s services, electronics, restaurant gift cards, entertainment gift cards, sports tickets, sports memorabilia, and vacation packages – whatever excites people into bidding, we want to offer it!
We have many levels for sponsorships. Whether it is a company, individual, or group of friends pitching in together, sponsorships make sure 100% of the night and ticket purchases go back to the work we do with survivors.
