At Hagar’s Heart, we believe in the power of compassion and support. We started this journey with a simple but profound mission: to show survivors of domestic abuse that they are valued, cared for, and seen. We understand the emotional and mental toll that leaving an abusive situation can take. We’ve been there ourselves and are here to help others on their path to healing.
The I See You Box
Often, survivors of domestic abuse flee their situations with nothing but the clothes on their backs or, if they’re fortunate, they’ve created a safety plan to come with very few essential items for their family. Recognizing this need, we created the “I See You” box. Each box is carefully curated to provide personal care items and tokens to boost self-esteem and mental wellness.
These boxes symbolize love, hope, and support, and they make a meaningful impact on the lives of survivors.
Join Our Packing Party
Supplies Provided
We ensure you have all the supplies to make the I See You boxes. We want your focus on spreading love and support, so we take care of the materials.
Your Contribution
If you have the means and want to make an additional impact, you can donate items from our list. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create more I See You boxes.
Guidance and Support
A friendly Hagar’s Heart representative will be present at your packing party to:
- Set up the packing area.
- Share our story and mission.
- Guide your group through the packing process.
Join or Host
You can join an existing packing party in your community or host one of your own. Whether with friends, work colleagues, or your social group, you can make a difference together.
Spread the Word
We encourage you to reach out to your network and let them know they are needed. Let them know that together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of survivors of domestic abuse.
